The State 4-H Office has implemented a new 4-H Record Book process, beginning this program year, 2007-2008 Monterey County has adopted this process. This change has been implemented after a two year process that looked at the existing research in youth development as well as extensive stakeholder input. The new 4-H Record Book, based on the club Personal Development Report (PDR) and the State Project Competition, emphasizes life skills development and healthy competition. The new 4-H Record Book is designed to be used at the project and club level, and may be entered in county, sectional and state competitions.
